Dr Martin Davey

Dr Martin Davey is a General Practitioner with extensive experience across geriatric and family medicine, chronic disease management, mental health, men’s health, dermatology, and drug and alcohol medicine.

Dr Martin Davey joined Rose Street Clinic in 1991 and is a principal partner. He completed his medical degree at Flinders University, graduating in 1984. Dr Davey has broad clinical experience with special interests in geriatric medicine, family medicine, men’s health, chronic disease management, anxiety and depression disorders, drug and alcohol medicine, pain management, musculoskeletal conditions, skin cancer and dermatology.

After graduating, Dr Davey completed a Diploma of Obstetrics in 1986, followed by 12 months of anaesthetics training in the United Kingdom in 1987. Before joining Rose Street Clinic, he worked as a locum across several South Australian regional centres, including Millicent, Normanville, Yorketown, and Burra.

Outside of medicine, Dr Davey enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including bushwalking and tennis.

Dr Ineke Pattichis

Dr Ineke Pattichis is a GP at our Glenelg clinic with extensive experience in family medicine, particularly antenatal shared care, paediatrics, women’s health, contraception and chronic disease management.

Dr Ineke Pattichis is a principal General Practitioner who joined Rose Street Clinic in 1996. South Australian–born, she studied medicine at the University of Adelaide and, after graduating in 1987, worked at Flinders Medical Centre, where she completed her general practice training through the RACGP Family Medicine Program in 1993. During her time at Flinders, she also obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics through the RACOG/RACGP in 1989.

Dr Pattichis has particular interests in antenatal shared care, paediatrics and women’s health.

She is married with three children and two grandchildren.

Dr Helen Schinckel is a GP with extensive experience in paediatrics, women’s health, dermatology, orthopaedics, general medicine and minor surgical procedures.

Dr Helen Schinckel is a General Practitioner and joined the practice in 1999. She studied medicine at Flinders University and, after graduating, worked as a Resident Medical Officer at both Flinders Medical Centre and the Repatriation General Hospital while completing her general practice training through the RACGP Family Medicine Program in 1993.

Dr Schinckel went on to complete further training with the Family Planning Federation (now SHINE SA) and worked with them as a Visiting Medical Officer. She also held a Visiting Medical Officer position in the Emergency Department at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital until 1996. In 1998, she completed an academic fellowship in General Medical Education in Toronto, Canada.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Schinckel undertakes additional training as a GP supervisor and currently supervises the clinic’s GP Registrar as part of their ongoing medical training. She is married with two children.

Dr Helen Paech graduated from Flinders University in 1991. She spent two years at Flinders Medical Centre before undertaking a period of work with Child & Youth Health (formerly CAFHS). She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1997 and has since worked in general practice in Adelaide’s southern region for more than 25 years.

In addition to general medicine, Dr Paech has particular interests in children’s health, shared antenatal care, adolescent health, chronic disease management, women’s health and aged care. She is married and has two daughters.

Dr Suchi Garg is an experienced General Practitioner and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). She completed her primary medical qualification (MBBS) at a highly regarded medical university in India before migrating to Australia in 2008.

Dr Garg has furthered her training with a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from Westmead Hospital in Sydney and a Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) from the University of South Australia. She brings eleven years of culturally diverse clinical experience and three years of medical research expertise to her practice.

She is fluent in both English and Hindi. Dr Garg is married and has one child.

  • Standard appointment: 20 minutes
  • Long appointment: 30 minutes

This allows adequate time to address all concerns without patients feeling rushed. Fees are adjusted to reflect the extended consultation length, with the following billing structure:

Billing Information

  • Gap payable: $100
  • Concession gap: $80
  • If the consultation is shorter in nature, fees will be the same as other doctors at the clinic.
  • Full payment is required at the end of the consultation.

Outside of medicine, Dr Nguyen enjoys cooking, camping, catching up with friends and getting far too invested in reality TV.

    Our practice is located at 1 Rose Street Glenelg. Our clinic is designed with wheelchair access, and there is a designated disabled park available at the front of the clinic. Parking is available on Rose Street for 1-2 hours.

    Payment Terms

    Private Patients
    We are not a bulk-billing medical practice and require full payment of consultation fees at the time of appointment. Our GP facilities allow Medicare rebates to be paid directly into your bank account within 24 hours in most instances.

    A $6.60 ‘Practice Administration Levy’ will be applied to all privately billed consultations.

    Children and Concession Card Holders
    Each consultation will be charged a flat fee, including TeleHealth, results, and childhood vaccinations.

    • Gold card holders will be ‘bulk-billed’ but at times will be charged a gap
    • Concession Card Holders and children between 11-15 inclusive will be charged a reduced fee.

    Please ensure that you bring your concession card at the time of consultation and note that bulk-billing does not apply to other forms of concession cards such as the Commonwealth Seniors Card.
