Dr. M. Christine Brown qualified as a medical practitioner in 1973, and by 1980 began treating people suffering from work injuries. She qualified as an occupational physician in 1991.

Dr. Brown specializes in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of people suffering from work injuries, mainly musculoskeletal injuries, but also psychological and other work related injuries.

Dr. Brown does not treat motor accident injuries, but she does accept referrals from the Motor Accident Commission for medical assessment.

She treats many immigrant and refugee workers, and is experienced in the use of interpreters.

Rehabilitation following work injury can be a stressful, lengthy and complex process. It requires the injured person to work actively towards a positive outcome. English language study or occupational retraining may be required. Multidisciplinary assessment and treatment, involving physiotherapist, psychologist and occupational therapist is often needed.

Dr. Brown is accredited in ISV Medical Assessment for the Motor Accident Commission and Permanent Impairment Assessment for Return to Work SA, for assessment of the upper limbs, lower limbs and spine.

Referral from a general practitioner or other medical specialist is necessary for consultation with Dr. Brown.
