IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE COVID-19 IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Dear Valued Patient,
In line with the opening of SA State borders, under SA Health guidelines, we are making changes to our clinic policy, commencing November 23rd, 2021.
We expect to see Covid-19 in the South Australian Community and this may mean we will have to convert your appointment to a telehealth consultation.
All patients with respiratory symptoms (Fever, Cough, Runny Nose, Sore Throat, Headache, Shortness of breath, loss of smell or taste, Sinus pain) will be offered telehealth or referred to respiratory clinics for a face to face appointment.
Unvaccinated patients will be offered telehealth for all consultations, usual appointment fees will apply. Your doctor will advise of your options if Face-to-Face consultation is required.
Covid vaccination clinics, patients coming for their 1st covid vax will be asked to wait outside & be seen via the back door. Patients coming for their 2nd or booster vax can enter.
Vaccinated patients will be seen as usual for face to face appointments. Please note masks must be worn in the surgery at all times.
Children <12 will be offered telehealth. Your doctor will advise of your options if Face-to-Face consultation is required.
Recent travellers (last 7 days) from interstate or overseas: These patients must provide proof of a negative PCR nasal swab within 48 hrs of a face-to-face appointment. Rapid test kit results will not be accepted
If required, telehealth may be via telephone or video consult. Medicare currently only approves a rebate for short consultations by telephone. Longer consultations can be arranged through video link up.
Pro Health Care Dover Gardens has a duty of care to all Patients and staff by ensuring care is taken with Covid-19 exposure. The latest changes to our policy are in place to mitigate Covid-19 risk and to protect our patients, staff and the wider community.
