Dentures in Adelaide at Pro Dental SA
Dentures are designed to replace missing teeth.
Partial Dentures are designed to replace your missing teeth, while utilizing remaining teeth to assist in holding the denture in place. Full dentures replace an entire arch of teeth, such as upper or lower dentures.
Before any denture treatment is undertaken, it is recommended that you have a thorough dental check-up. If you are having full dentures, it will involve an examination of the mouth and an assessment of the health of the gums.
If you are having a partial denture, this check-up will include a full examination of your teeth, gums and other soft tissues of your mouth. At this check-up radiographs may be taken to ensure the teeth are healthy, and strong enough to help support a denture. Our dentists will then take impressions and bite records before undertaking a trial wax insertion. Once the denture has been made at one of our laboratories (up to 1-2 weeks) the final insertion and instruction can be undertaken.
