The government is now offering free Shingles vaccines to people from the ages of 70-79 years old. It is a single dose vaccine that is now available at Pro Health Care Centres. Patients over the age of 79 are eligible for the vaccine, however the cost will not be covered by the government. Patients over 79 wanting to get the vaccine require an appointment with their GP first to obtain a script. For more information please contact your local Pro Health Care Centre.
