Biomechanical Analysis in Adelaide
Here at Pro Podiatry SA a biomechanical analysis is always performed before orthotic prescription is undertaken to gain a thorough understanding of the individual foot type and also forms the basis of prescribing each customised pair of orthoses.
What is a Biomechanical Analysis?
This involves testing joint range of motion, looking at muscle length/tightness and will highlight any asymmetry or dysfunction within the foot in question.
A Gait analysis is a great diagnostic tool and is also used regularly at Pro Podiatry SA to highlight problems within an individuals walking GAIT. This is performed to highlight any alignment issues or abnormalities while also helping to aid in orthotic prescription and diagnosing and treating lower limb pathologies.
