What is Clinical Pilates?
Clinical Pilates is an excellent form of spinal rehabilitation. It encourages use of the deep abdominal muscles which form a protective girdle around the spine and is therefore essential for rehabilitation of spinal conditions. At our Adelaide Pilates Clinic, we are equipped with the most advanced Pilates equipment to facilitate your rehabilitation with minimal impact on your vertebral column, ensuring a pain-free, effective process of recovery. All Pilates programs are tailored to your requirements by our Pilates trained Physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologists.
How do I start?
Our Pilates programs are formulated initially during one on one consultations with one of our physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologists. Once your program is established, you have the option to book into a class that suits you. If you have a history of back pain, we highly recommend an initial consultation with our Physiotherapists. If however, there is little history of back problems and Pilates is intended more as a means of fitness training, then an appointment with our Exercise Physiologist only is required.
Bookings are essential and can be made at Reception.
$20.00 a class ($17.50 concession). Classes are funded through private health insurance. Class size is between 4-6. Cancellation Policy – full payment will be required if less than 24 hours notice is provided.
