Childhood Immunisations

Childhood Immunisations

Immunisation protects a child against serious childhood infections. Routine childhood immunisations protect against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (pertussis), polio, pneumococcal disease, meningococcal disease, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), rotavirus, chickenpox, measles, mumps and rubella (German measles).
The National Immunisation Program describes the routine child immunisations recommended for all children in Australia. Some groups are more at risk than others in the community and may need additional vaccines.
At Pro Medical SA, our team of Health Practitioners will ensure that your child is immunised according to the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR). Once the immunisation is complete we will send confirmation to AIR for it to be recorded on your child’s file. Your child is placed on our recall list, when their next immunisation is due, a text message is sent to remind you to make an appointment.
