What is Remedial Massage?

Remedial massage is one of the most effective and readily available ways to prevent and treat muscle injuries, pain and soreness. Remedial massage is simply the manipulation of soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia). This form of remedial therapy is based on the fact that soft tissues respond to touch and applied pressure.

Remedial massage can work in two ways:

Mechanical Action

A mechanical action is generated by applying pressure through movement and stretching of the muscles and soft tissues, resulting in the cleansing of acids and toxins within the body.

Reflex Action

A reflex action occurs when one body part is treated and as a results another body part is affected.
