Alex is an extremely competent physio in Adelaide that holds an interest in Sports injuries and management of complex shoulder conditions.
Alex graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from The University of South Australia in 2014. Alex has particular interest and expertise in injury prevention and management for athletes at all sporting levels. Particularly, load management, biomechanic assessment and individualised sport specific return to play strategies. Previously Alex worked as youth team physiotherapist and assistant physiotherapist for Adelaide United in the Hyundai A-league (2014-2017) including their successful 2016 season winning both league and grand final titles.
Alex is also a qualified strength and condition coach with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association and can provide excellent evidence based advice and strategic planning to optimise sports and recreational performance. Beyond dealing with sports injuries Alex has a special interest in peripheral joint problems, including the shoulder, knee and ankle. Alex encourages self-management strategies but also likes to take a hands on approach to physiotherapy as well as working with other members of allied health and medical staff at our Hope Valley site to optimise the outcome for his patients.
Alex utilises self management exercises with his patients as part of their treatment.
