Injury and postural problems are the most common causes of neck pain. Diseases such as arthritis or general degeneration can also cause pain. Neck pain can often result from motor vehicle, sports or occupational accidents. Damage may occur to vertebrae, joints, nerves, discs, ligaments and muscles of the neck.
Our Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists take a thorough history and thorough examination to ensure we are able to determine the source and the cause of your neck pain. Musculoskeletal physiotherapists will also identify any contributing factors which may be contributing to your pain and provide relevant and evidence based up-to-date approaches for management of your neck pain.
At Pro Physio SA, our staff are highly trained in assessment and diagnosis of any musculoskeletal injury including neck pain. We place a particular emphasis on determining not only the source of your pain, but the cause of your pain. This may include but is not limited to: mobilization, manipulation, massage, stretching, electrotherapy, dry needling/acupuncture, postural correction, ergonomic advice and will also prescribe specific exercises individual to you.
