Dr Susan Nield is one Adelaide’s most inspiring doctors who continues to consult as a GP at Pro Health Care Kensington Road in Norwood while simultaneously battling Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Dr Nield’s unrelenting determination and willingness to go above and beyond her patient’s expectations in delivering the best possible medical service is inspirational and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have her working as part of our vibrant medical team.
Dr Sue Nield has been consulting as a GP in our Norwood Family Practice for over 20 years after graduating from the University of Adelaide in 1984.
Dr Nield has had training in Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Mental Health, Anaesthetics & Emergency Medicine before settling on General Practice.
Unfortunately, diagnosed with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy in 1994, her previously active lifestyle has been cramped, but she continues to enjoy working as a General Practitioner and the interaction with her patients.
Sue has also worked at the QEH, RAH, Queen Victoria Hospital, Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Hahndorf, Port Lincoln, Royal Darwin Hospital, South Rd Edwardstown, Meningie and even Quatre Bornes Hospital in Mauritius where time on the beach was paramount!
